Staffordshire Wildlife Trust
The children all thoroughly enjoyed their workshop with the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. We learnt how we can look after ourselves and each other. It was lovely learning in the outdoor environment and the children were a real credit.
Forest School
We are developing our school into a Forest School this academic year. Mrs Thornton is training to be a Forest Schools Leader and with support from the PTFA and particularly Jenny Wright, we are looking forward to further establishing our outdoor areas into wonderful area to learn about our natural environment. We are also hoping to lead mindfulness and yoga classes in the outdoor area. This week, children in Elm Class began to plan a reflective area outside (adjacent to the outdoor classroom) in which children can go to and sit quietly. They shared some lovely ideas including growing fragrant plants, having prayer stones and places to sit. We’ll keep you posted of future plans.
Coalport
Our year 3 children were very excited to be going to Coalport. They had a lovely day yesterday and were all looking forward to their movie night and sleeping in dorms with their friends. We’ll let parents know when they are on their way back to school later today.
