All Saints Church is at the heart of our community and as such plays a very important role within our school. Reverend Richard Fisher comes into school regularly to lead worship with the children as well as participating in lessons and other learning opportunities. Our children go to church frequently – to celebrate Christian festivals and events throughout the year as well as to support their learning in class. Every class will visit church over the next term to gain a deep understanding of the importance of church to Christians, our school and the local community.

Children from our school lead services throughout the school year, particularly at the end of term and to mark the principle Christian Festivals. Within these services, they read the lessons and prayers, act, sing in the school choir, help with the offertory and welcome members of the congregation. We are very proud of the quality of their contributions: so many children show a high level of confidence in reading in public and in singing within a choir. Often they write the prayers themselves and demonstrate strong spiritual development within their work.

School and Church Links

Our school enjoys a strong and meaningful partnership with the Church, a relationship that enriches the learning, well-being, and spiritual development of our children. Through shared values, regular worship, and community events, the school and church work together to create a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to grow. This connection helps reinforce important life skills—such as compassion, respect, and responsibility—while offering students opportunities to explore faith, celebrate traditions, and understand their place within a wider community. The link between School and Church remains a vital part of our identity and continues to strengthen the sense of belonging for pupils, families, and staff alike.

Every class visits the Church each half term - we even get to take part in Church Forest School. Reverend Richard, Mrs Stone, Open the Book and Penn Puppets regularly visit to lead Worship in School.
